FAQs About Stepfamily Coaching

Got questions about stepfamily coaching and finding the right fit? We’ve got answers below!

If you’re struggling to pick a coach, reach out to a couple and ask questions!

You can ask them what their approach is, what coaching tools they’ve used, or even if they have a reference you could chat with.

You can also check out their social media accounts, which are linked in their profiles, to see if their general “vibe” feels like someone you’d resonate with.

It’s important to find the right fit. Any SCA-certified coach is happy to answer your questions.

Happy coaching!

Well, if you’re working with an SCA-certified coach, you can expect courtesy, an inclusive outlook, respect, and advice based on the latest research and science in the area. Our coaches go through a rigorous 8-week program and final exam to ensure their approaches are client-led and evidence-based.

Every coach has slight variations depending on their personal business, but most initial coaching sessions will start before you even get on the call with an intake form. Once you’re on the call, you’ll spend a few minutes setting some goals for your time together and then you’ll get to work.

Beyond that? It’s mostly whether your personalities work well together.

Reach out if you’ve got any questions!

No. Although it depends by coach, most of the coaches trained at the SCA are set up to work virtually through Zoom or other video-conference technology.
